By George

If you haven't already noticed, the list of photographers whose work I admire is fairly extensive.
A stronghold of my ever-growing roster is Boo George, the Ireland native behind some of the most stunning, honest portraiture of recent years. At 31 years old, Boo is far from up-and-coming; his signature documentary-style snapshots and pared-down portraits have earned a much deserved cult following. What's most impressive, though, is the timeless appeal of his work; his portraits of unknowns and industry moguls alike are strikingly reminiscent of the work of Avedon and Penn. Most recently his work has graced the pages of i-D, Love, Industrie, and V to name a few. Below, a few of my personal favourites - in black and white, as usual.
